Below are radiographs of a young Labrador Retriever who was brought to us for a fractured femur (thigh). Pre-Operative radiographs show the fracture and post-operative radiographs show the bone plate used to repair the fracture. This surgery took about 1 1/2 hours. In most cases, the bone plate will stay in for the rest of the patient's life.
These im
ages show a fractured radius and ulna (front leg) on a 9 month old male
Yorkshire Terrier.
These images show the fractured radius repaired with a bone plate. This patient will need to be restricted from running and jumping for 6-8 weeks while his repair heals.
